Worship:
A declaration of God’s “worthiness”
That’s
actually what our word worship means. It comes from an old English word
“worth-ship”. Our worship of God is simply a declaration that he is worthy to
be praised and worshiped. As Christians we can do that in a multitude of
ways. The Scriptures teach us that music is a wonderful pathway to worship.
Also, our service and willingness to give of our time and finances is another
way we can proclaim God’s worthiness.
At Vero
Vineyard Church,
we look for just about any and every opportunity to be involved in worship.
Our Sunday morning service features contemporary praise music that is
designed to lift up Jesus, as well as lift your spirits. Our praise team
musicians have made it a preeminent goal to worship the Lord in excellence,
and perform sets of music that will inspire and motivate you to want to be a
worshiper. From vocals, to instrumental to singing “psalms, hymns and
spiritual songs” our desire is to create an atmosphere where you not only
feel comfortable coming, but that God’s Presence also is welcome.
At Vero
Vineyard Church,
we encourage people to worship the Lord in any way they find
comfortable. This can range from
quietly sitting to being more active in praise, such as singing, clapping, or
even raising one’s hands.
Jesus said that: “They that worship God must worship Him in spirit and
in truth.”
At the Vineyard we think worship is a magnificent and meaningful
pathway to touching the heart of the Father, and declaring “Thou art worthy O
God!”
